Travis Scott gets violent and now to turn himself over alleged NYC club assault on Mark-2023

From Hit Songs to Legal Wrongs: Travis Scott, the famed rapper and performer behind the Astroworld festival, is in hot water after an altercation inside a Midtown Manhattan nightclub. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, involved Scott allegedly assaulting a sound engineer called Mark and causing damage to his equipment.

The altercation reportedly escalated, with Scott causing extensive damage to the club’s equipment. He is said to have torn a video screen and broken a speaker, racking up $12,000 in damages. Police have charged him with criminal mischief and misdemeanor assault.

After the fight, Scott left the city and is currently in California. However, his representatives have helped arrange his return to New York for questioning next week.

Sound engineer Mark checked himself into Jersey City Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon and was discharged after a few hours.

The victim, a sound engineer at Nebula, said he was only trying to fix the sound when Scott allegedly attacked him. Also, Mark said Scott’s security team threatened his life.

Why did Travis Scott punch the sound engineer Mark?

The “Sicko Mode” singer was at the club on West 41st Street near Broadway to perform alongside rapper Don Toliver, who is signed to his label, when he grew angry about the sound system.

When others attempted to turn down the volume, Scott allegedly became violent. Mark and other sources claimed that the volume was so loud that the sound was distorted.

Before he went after Mark, he allegedly pushed a DJ.

Video below shows Scott yelling at the DJ to “back the f–k up” before he shoves him away.

Sound engineer Mark spoke to the media after the incident:

“I was trying to tell him to lower [the music] so it sounded good for the performance but he just stuck his middle finger in my face,” Mark said. “So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, and that’s when he ran around the speaker and attacked me.”

What did Scott’s attorney say over the alleged NYC club punch to Mark?

Scott’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, has dismissed the altercation as a “misunderstanding” and expressed confidence that his client will be exonerated. He has also stated that they are working closely with law enforcement and the venue to clarify the situation and set the record straight.

Schuster is said to be in discussions with the NYPD to arrange for Scott to surrender himself at a suitable time. Despite the gravity of the charges, the rapper’s legal team is determined to present a strong defense and protect their client’s reputation.
